The Plastic Surgery department in our hospital plays a multifaceted role, encompassing both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. It’s key functions include:

1. Reconstructive Surgery

Trauma Care : Provides surgical intervention for patients with injuries, such as those from accidents, aiming to restore function and appearance.

Burn Reconstruction: Treats burn injuries with skin grafts, tissue expansion, and other techniques to repair and reconstruct damaged skin and underlying tissues.

Cancer Reconstruction : Reconstructs areas affected by cancer surgeries, such as breast reconstruction after mastectomy or facial reconstruction after tumor removal.

2. Cosmetic Surgery
  • Aesthetic Enhancements : Procedures aimed at improving physical appearance, such as facelifts, rhinoplasties (nose jobs), liposuction, and breast augmentation.
  • Non-Surgical Treatments: Offers non-invasive treatments like Botox injections, dermal fillers, and laser therapies for skin rejuvenation and cosmetic improvements.
3. Hand Surgery
  • Microvascular Surgery: Focuses on the repair and reconstruction of small blood vessels and nerves in the hands, often after injuries or congenital issues.
  • Reconstructive Procedures : Addresses conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s contracture, and other hand-related deformities or injuries.
4. Pediatric Plastic Surgery :

• Congenital Deformities : Treats congenital issues in children, including cleft lip and palate, congenital hand anomalies, hypospadias and other birth defects requiring surgical treatment
